You get snow.  We get rain! :)

How's it going everyone? Has the snowstorm calmed down at all?  Thanks for those of you who wrote me a message, or email;  I enjoy hearing from you.  Right now i'm at the town of 1770, and there is not too much to do here because we are in the middle of a tropical downpour!  This apparently is going to go on for a good week.  Luckly, while we were on our Fraser Island trip the downpour hadn't started yet.
So these last five days have been, so far, the best part of my trip!  I just got back from a camping trip to Fraser Island, where we spend a few days roughin it Australian style.  Rather than camping in the bush, we camped on the beach, and rather than getting stuck in snow...we got stuck in the sand..rather than seeing bears...they have Dingos!  There were about 60 people on the island, and 10 people to a 4x4 truck; I had an awesome group!  During the day we spent our time driving the island, trying to find the beaches (this island is about 125km long).  It was more stressful than it sounds, because we had to make it from point A to B before the high tide came in.  At about 3:00 the tide on the island gets really high, and it covers the whole island, which is why we had to get to the highest point, set up our tents, and camp out until the tide gets lower; this, depending on the day, could take 10 hours.  Camping at night was so fun....too much fun for sleep.
The next day we drove to a place called Makenzie lake.  I'm not even going to describe how beautiful this place is.  Google it.  I've never seen water so clean, clear, and untouched.  Wow.  We spend the day there...and just took in the beauty!
I have to log off ...because I only have a few minutes to spell check before my time runs out! :) haha.  I've changed my dates a little, and tomorrow morning i'm on my way to a cattle ranch with the girls; i'm not ready to leave them yet! :(

                  LOVE YOU ALL!
