Apparently it was my best week at work, and I wasn't alone in thinking it. Before starting vacation tomorrow, my boss reached out to me this evening with a question, I couldn't answer, and I've been assigned to figure it out by the time I'm back.
I wrote a second story today, which I playfully applauded for making CNN's Breaking News Twitter feed, and then boasted on how yesterday's story made last night's front page -- though DC suggested not to report on it. Boss congratulated my work and asked me what I'd like to do next with myself.
I admitted, "I don't know."
So we talked.
I LOVE the way things are going. I love what I do at work every day, and the environment it's in. But it can't last forever. I wish it would, at least until I'm ready to move on, but it won't. Have to get prepared for when I'm pushed out of Never Never Land. I think that was his message tonight.
Thinking cap, on.
p.s.
Ford approved me as an accredited reporter this morning ;)
