The poor people of the outer burroughs of New York City...
they still haven't been shoveled out.
We sent a crew to Brooklyn this afternoon to get footage and interviews of residents who have yet to see their roads and sidewalks cleared. Right after sending them out, a woman from Brooklyn called our newsroom and got me on the phone, right away ranting about the conditions after confirming that she had gotten CNN on the line. I wish I had her quotes down in front of me now but it's on my work e-mail. Colorful woman. Advised us to call Canada for backup. "They know how to handle a storm!" something like that :p
After work today I sludged back through Central Park, pausing to enjoy the sites of children on sleds (jealous), snowmen, and ice skaters.
Hit my bed once home, only to wake up now. 11pm :p
No work tomorrow!
Trying to buy some snow/ski pants... and would be terribly awesome if I could find a plastic disk/sled ...even if I have to ride it by myself.
