We arrive in Seattle and head strait for our Hotel, the Warwick. Pleasantly surprised at all the amenities, we got a little exercise in the work out room and were dazzled by the fancy restaurant in the lobby. At this point, we have not showered in four days. Kim and Sandy enter the elevator looking like middle school girls with their greasy hair and over full backpacks. One holds last nights dishes( Dish washing was not permitted at the campgroung:bears) covered in spaghetti sauce in her hands. The smell of marinara sauce fills the elevator already full with Seattle's international business elite. Besides Kim's sleepless night in Seattle (ha ha) the hotel provided good sleep and surprisingly enough electrical outlets for all our phones, cameras, and computers. The fast paced nature of the trip has not allowed for much preparation for our next day in the city. How will we survive without a personal, funny and all around wonderful tour guide like we had in Chicago you may ask. Well, we sucked it up and put our pride aside. We asked everyone what to do and where to go and relied on what some refer to as "luck". We stumbled upon a market place that the city is famous for, blocks from our hotel. Kim and Rachel remember seeing it on the travel channel highlighting a special fish market. The market is called Pikes Place Fish Market. Many tourists are crowded around waiting for someone to purchase fish so the show will start. The men are known for throwing the orders across the market. We start taking photos in front of the market. Kim and Sandy make fish faces for the camera, as a man with ice throws it at them and says "hey fish face come here. Go on back there". In turn all four of us banter and laugh with the famous fish men and get this.. get to catch big stinky fish! The event will linger in our minds like the smell of coffee does all over the city.

Real Camping!
Now your next-to-last stay sounded more like camping, at least, in a tent! Seattle's great - try to see the places that were once underwater or something down by the wharf. You are all very brave, to walk back there with the fishmongers - I'm proud of you as well!

Hello from Uncle David
Uncle David here. Just now figuring how to get into the blog. I'm the computer guy and couldn't figure out how to post. Go figure.
Looks like fun was had by all in the birthplace of Starbucks and now Grey's Anatomy. Pikes Place is a lot of fun. Wish I could have seen ya'll in the elevator in the Warwick. Too funny.
