Where I stayed
Katy's Apartment
The Guest House
~Rumi
This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be cleaning you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

My life has been filled with many journeys that have molded who I am today. Mainly, my journeys have been in controlled environments in which I was coached on how to 'correctly' perform sports and 'effectively' learn information. Now I eagerly take on the adventures and challenges that will be posed in new, less 'controlled' environments, in which I will travel the world to learn more about myself and others. There are many ramblings that I could include about all my thoughts for this trip, but as it goes at this point, I am just too exhausted to do much more than try to get some good rest and relaxation and sleep. Tomorrow I will make my way to DC with a 65-liter backpack carrying my physical possessions for my nearly four months of travel. I currently have no car and no home and no items to return to in Baltimore. Just beautiful people. The vagabonding has officially begun.

your friend in boston says:
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled [mass]" can't wait to see you!
Isn't that 65 liter back pack half or just about your height...lol Carrying the size of a small midget on your back ought to do you some good.
Looking forward to traveling with you vicariously.
Mazel tov, Netta! May your travels enrich your spirit that in turn will enrich the spirit of those you meet. :o)
Hey call me when you get a chance so I know wether or not your mom still needs help and if so, send me her contact info.
