Where I stayed
Hi folks, its monday the 11th October and I survived Saturday at the Grand Prix with nothing more than extremely wet clothes and feet. Luckily I left early as there was NO WAY the session was going ahead. Two ozzy guys at the hotel said they had to wait over an hour for the train back to the city in a monsoon practically!
Typically that its been amazing weather all week and wet on saturday qualifying but thankfully the race was not cancelled. Qualifying was postponed until Sunday morning so it was a full day of racing at the Suzuka Circuit. I have posted photographs for you and remember to look at the additional text with each photo as that saves me repeating it on the blog.
One thing about japan is that they LOVE heated toilet seats! Not pleasant when its roasting hot and you are sweating like a pig after carrying 24kilos of backpacks just to find you arse on fire when you have gone into Dennys for a drink!
The bullet train from Tokyo to nagoya was impressive - didnt see Mt Fuji - or I did and it wasnt up to much (spoiled living in Scotland). But again pretty green and lots of vast open spaces.
Guys, if you like girls wearing VERY short skirts, then Japan is the place to come. Not much talent for me though as the guys seem to be either fresh faced youtsh who dont even shave or venerable old gentelemen who would run a mile at an uncouth Scottish woman.
Off to Kyoto now for the rest of the week for some sightseeing (used to be the capital of japan) and Hiroshima on Saturday before heading to my first farm on Monday.
Take care and enjoy the videos - if you hate Formula 1 then dont bother watching them.
lots of love
Alison
