First of all...I had the worst nights sleep ever on the flight over....i just could not get comfortable so I resorted to watching Jersey Girl (not very good - I expected better of you Ben Affleck), and then I watched Piers Morgan interviewing Chris Colfer from Glee and finally I got hooked into watching MTV's Made...didn't get to finish the episode! I'll never know if the cheerleading squad made it to the finals! what a shame!

once we landed we headed straight to the hotel except we couldn't check in so the receptionist let us put our bags in the office while we went and found some breakfast (from the diner round the corner) and headed to Harvard to explore...

We passed Harvard Business school on the way - absolutely beautiful and i just LOVE all the New England style buildings!
Once we crossed the Charles River (and spotted some rowers) we headed for Harvard Square...turns out there were a few graduations today so things were being set up all over the place!

We didn't know what any of the buildings were but they were really pretty (I prefer Birmingham though <3 )...anyways we passed one building which I discovered was a military accommodation to which Emily and Emma I was just obsessed with military people due to my comments the previous day...it was purely a coincidence though..I'm not obsessed I promise!

Checked into the hotel around midday and we were absolutely exhausted and collapsed for a couple of hours before heading downtown for lunch. Emma wanted to watch the football match so we found a pub for lunch so that we could watch the game...however, football has never really been my fave so Emily and I went for a stroll to the Boston Common and just had a little wander around there...nothing too exciting but it was really pretty and nice!

There were definitely some interesting people in Boston - lots of eastern european sounding people, some random group of teens dressed as zombies, and a woman who exposed her nipples everytime she bent over....great....:S

Once we got back to the hotel all 3 of us just crashed..and rightly so..we had had such a long day! Got a Chinese Takeaway from the restaurant downstairs as we were too tired to go elsewhere...

off to sleep now - tomorrow Emily and Emma will be leaving me and heading to Cape Cod while I'll be spending one last night alone in Boston before heading back to Ottawa! So excited to be going back to Canada! yay! I think Ill be heading to Salem for the day tomorrow...i'm hoping for lots of witchy hocus pocus things so that the image in my head isn't let down by reality! exciting stuff!

xoxo
