Managed to get up for the hotel breakie then headed to the lake (only a five minute walk away!) – it was so beautiful! Proper sandy beach and lots of palm trees dotted along. Plus super clear water which was a pretty good temperature considering its not summer yet.

A few oldies were out in speedboats and some younger ones with music blasting, people had kayaks and were on these surf type boards that you stand on and paddle along with an oar – me and ness were rather impressed.

The few youngish people we saw on the beach were absolutely ridiculous. One in particular – Matt The Twat (an appropriate nickname me and Ness gave him) who kept showing off and trying to be cool from afar. Some of his 'super cool' moves were longboarding and falling off, throwing a rock into the lake like a girl, smoking and trying to walk like a cowboy, running up the beach then suddenly turning round and running like a gimp into the lake and doing what one can only describe as an attempt at a dive, despite being in knee-deep water! (that probably explains his idiocy to be fair – hitting his head on the lake floor so much! lol) He almost lost his shorts during one of his attempts and proceeded to shout to his mate ‘Dude did you see my ass! It totally came out!’. Then his geeky cute ‘mexican man’ friend had a go and tripped over, catapulting into the water. Yes at this point Ness was in fits of giggles and we both had to turn away. Then another of Matt the Twats friends came along and went for a swim in the lake in his jeans?! All far too much of a funny experience. So much so we needed a break for lunch! We wandered round the rest of the lake and the channel part of it near ‘London Bridge’ (so strange that it’s there!) and decided to eat at Jersey Grill. The whole lake and its surroundings must be such a cool place for everyone to go to for Spring Break! Was kinda cool being where the film Piranha had been filmed aswel (even though I’ve not even seen it and the piranhas on the trailer look ridiculously fake-thankfully we didn’t see any real ones lol)

We decided to head back to the hotel pool to cool down – though we both somehow succeeded in burning instead lol Ness was a true tomato! And my minor burns will serve me right for going on about how i never burn! Well, you do now my love!

Succeeded in venturing out for dinner this time to a gorgeous and modern bar/restaurant called Martini Bay. Though unfortunately there was literally no other people about so we decided against going to Kokomos after (a massive in and outdoor club and pool on the lake) and headed back for a fun night of playing Spit (best card game ever!) and watching The Real Housewives of Jersey Shore. Proper trashy American t.v. not quite the spring break type night we’d planned but fun all the same and kind of suited our sunburnt bodies! Lol
