Another approximate 5 hours in the bus and we got to the countries capitol. We took a taxi to our hotel, and explored the surrounding a little. I was still somewhat under the weather, meaning I couldn't do the bike ride :( Sam did- he road the worlds most dangerous road on mountain bike- basically going downhill for about 60 kilometers. Apparently very cool experience, even if pricey for Bolivian standards. That night we ate at the famous Star of India, where backpackers are attracted to come have the worlds most dangerous Vindaloo- one if finished that earns you a T-Shirt.
I finally saw Sam sweat for a while there- but he still finished it without to much problem(and am sure you will proudly see you shirt at some point in the future). The next day, we had to unfortunately be off back to Lima, so we could celebrate Nanette’s birthday there and then catch our flight on Monday and head to Ecuador. The bus journey, although comparatively cheap was arduous- 26 hours in a chair, close to the tv that played ONLY religious movies was ironically pretty hellish. But on the bright side, the movies were so bad we have a new line of comparison so future ones might not be as bad :)
