The drive from Venice to Florence was so gorgeous, the Tuscan countryside is really picturesque.
We spent a few days walking around the city visiting the Cathedrals, plazas and eating pizza's everywhere (gotta compare!). Had the best Gelati ever, peach & mango flavored, on the top of the hill where Michaelangelo has his statue. What a view! (see pics).
I loved Florence, possibly my favorite Italian city, just because its so characteristic and ancient and just has amazing buildings wherever you look.
We stayed just outside of the city in a lovely youth camping, but unfortunately there was an aopera concert on both night till 4 in the morning, which was LOUD (as in we could not really hear each other talk in the tent) so we didn't get too much sleep.
After Florence we drove on the Toll roads and part of the village roads to get to Rome...
