Volcan Poas
I have never been to a volcano before... other than St. Helens in my own backyard, which is magnificent in an awe-inspiring historical perspective. However, you really cannot get inside St Helens like you can here. Poas is an active volcano and you are basically standing at crater's edge, hearing it hiss and boil. Currently Poas is resting, but steaming profusely out of a turquoise colored cauldron comprised of an exotic soup mix that I'm sure would cure all skin ailments... permanently. The 1½ hour bus ride ended up being worth it, even though the mist lifted only for 30 seconds, two or three times over the entire 3 hour stay at the crater's edge. Many people came and went, but I could not pull myself away for fear of missing something spectacular. Instead, it just chugged away like some sort of machine on autopilot, it's steam vents bursting thru the sulfuric lake. It is a magnificent thing to witness the raw power of earth, pausing it's engine for a moment. I felt like a passenger atop a great locomotive... steam and hiss bellowing from it's bowels.
I was a bit spent after the ride back for my 5pm dental appointment, but I made it to the clinic on time. The clinic is often open until 8 or even 9pm, especially on days like today when they lost power for 2 hours. They work hard. The generator is used for surgery and the laboratory, but common work or cosmetics are the first to get bumped. Tomorrow is the weekend, my favorite part. I am travelling to Monteverde, a 5 hour journey.

travel pod
I will definitely use travel pod when I go to France for Christmas and New Years this year.
France it's too romantic to go alone. I went to see Fathia signing last weekend end at the Crown Plaza. I couldn't believe how I felt to be there alone listening to her these songs écrits by the grand compisiteurs du temps.
I wish that I knew this site when I was in London for a month.
It's amazing to read your trip and experience it virtually with you. It's not all that bad after all.
