On Tuesday morning we woke up early to head into Grand Teton National Park. As we drove into the park the fog slowly lifted to reveal some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever seen.  We drove from the northernmost point stopping at almost every lookout until we came to the decision that we should spend the night in Jackson, WY as it was supposed to rain again and our gear was a little more than damp.  We grabbed a late lunch at the fantastic Snake River Brewing Company, and then spent most of our afternoon using the hotel's free wireless to get our lives in order.

The next morning we rushed to pick up some more camping food supplies and secure a campsite at Jenny Lake, the most popular campground at the Park.  After setting up camp we walked down to Jenny Lake to read and enjoy the absolutely spectacular view of Grand Teton and Mount Moran.  We then drove up to Jackson Lake where the Snake River is dammed to enjoy some more quiet reading time.  After getting back to our campsite, Andrew received a voicemail from our real estate company in Portland, letting us know that the apartment we had secured had flooded and was uninhabitable.  We scrambled through dinner and then headed back to Jackson to use the internet at the most fantastic honkey tonk pub we have ever seen (over a dozen elk heads mounted on the walls) to set up some viewing appointments for the next week.  As upsetting as this was at the time, it allowed us to see one of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen over the Teton range.

Thursday we woke up  and took the water ferry across Jenny Lake to do one of the park's most popular hikes to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point.  After battling through the crowds on this two mile stretch, we went on up through Cascade Canyon where we had a long gradual climb that provided us with beautiful views of the Grand Teton and every glacier surrounding it.  On this hike we also got to see a moose from afar and an adorable little yellow bellied marmot up close and personal.   We were pretty exhausted after the hike, and in our quest to find more wireless internet we found the Teton Lodge which had spectacular views of the range and some pretty delicious pizza.
