To hike or not to hike....that is the question? We chose not to...sleep is so much more appealing!

Some of the others...the mad sods...went for a hike to the emerald lakes before breakfast...we had a lovely lie-in. Apparantly the lakes weren:t even worth seeing...so who are the sensible ones? We will let you decide that for yourselves!

Went off in search of Bryce Canyon on our big green bus, with the promise of an easy hike! Easy my arse! The canyon was amazing...probably one of our favourite places on the trip. The rockformations are out-of-this world....it feels like you are on mars! We hiked to the bottomof the canyon...mmm easy hike...past undescribable scenery....had lunch at the bottom...and then it was time for hell!! The hike back up...and up....and up....and up! If anyone ever suggests you hike down a canyon...please remember what goes down must comeup!!!!! Don:t get me wrong...the hike was amazing and well worth the pain and suffering...but it was definately no EASY hike...and as for hiking round the rim afterwards...no way dude!

Had tea in the bryce canyon carpark...its quite funny the places you can get away with cooking a meal here in American...anything really does go! Had a quick meal...well quick for Jimmy:s cooking anyway...with loads of beans to keep us warm on the bus...like we needed extra heat (or smells) on the bus! Then it was off to Mystic Hot springs again for a very late night dip.

We arrived about 11pm...got naked and chilled in the hot springs till late...actually we werent naked...but hey im damn sure we could have...it being such a hippy place and all! The place really is cool...with its natural mineral formations and baths set into the hills. Could have stayed there all night...but had to get some kip...considering we had to be up at sunrise....to see yet another amazing sunrise....

Back on the bus slept like sardines in a tin...and im not kidding...i was even threaten with having to sleep with someones feet on my head all night...if i somehow didn:t move into a non existent space! Neil slept through it all...or at least he pretended to!!
