Anderson & Clemson - The Local Tours

We took a short drive down to Anderson, my cousin had to take care of some business in town so we headed that way. The American road system is much the same as the Canadian system described in other blogs with multi-lane roads a mass of exits and traffic signals and signs everywhere (luckily im not in charge of the driving on this trip). After the business had been taken care of in various locations across town we headed to one of my cousins favourite downtown Anderson diners for lunch. As a diner the largest component of the menu was burgers, so it was rude not to. I ordered the bacon/cheese burger and cajun fries and the obligatory US refillable coke (which was largely ice). We also has some deep fried mozzarella ravioli as a shared starter. After finishing up and paying the bill we were offered another coke to go, this was a new experience which of course would have been rude to decline. We then took a walk up the main street to take a look at the buildings and take some photos (to be found below) before heading out. The next stop was the video game store, as my mother had told me its rude not to take a gift when visiting and i had not we stopped at the store so we could purchase a copy of an English football game. We then took a 30 minute drive out to the Clemson university area so we could take a look at my cousins wifes university football stadium. Why is was worth looking at is that college football is a big thing in the US and as well as the football being big the stadium was also, holding a capacity of around 80,000. By this time the previous days travel had caught up on me and i was glad that we were heading back.
