Day Two in London a trip to London Zoo, it began with a nice walk through Regents Park to get to the zoo entrance, this is a superb park made up of grassy areas, gardens and pathways leading to a number of cafe's. What's great about London Zoo is that it 20mins (on the tube) from where i worked for 2.5yrs, suddenly a sprawling park appears out of what not too far away is a concrete jungle. Fundamentally London Zoo and Colchester Zoo are have the same animal set, although both Zoos did certain things better, Colchester Zoo had more open space and so had more of the bigger animals. London Zoo specialised in the medium sized to smaller animals and i particularly liked the walk through exhibits such as the walk through aviary, the reptile house and the aquarium, not to say that the lion enclosure and the giraffe walkway was not also a highlight. There were too many animals to mention at the zoo so please enjoy the related pictures and videos.
