Thursday's trip from our camping space along the Glenn Highway to Eagle River yielded a lot fall color pictures.

One of our longer stops was a lake near Mentasta Lodge. Way on the far side of the lake was a family of trumpeter swans and one of the parents was trumpeting. There's a reason why they are called trumpeter swans. The swans were too far away for the camera to focus on them, but the scenery was amazing and I think I got some pretty good reflection pictures.

We stopped for lunch at Eureka Lodge. That was the best cheeseburger I have ever had (and they have 25 cent coffee). Had to take pictures of the burls in their posts and the Nelchina Glacier across the highway.

My final pictures of the day were of Sheep Mountain. The light was better on this part of the trip than it had been earlier.
