Whilst other mediterranean cities like St Tropez and Monaco have been experiencing a cut in half in the amount of yachts arriving there over the summer of 2008 due to the economic slow-down, the small marina of Budva is relatively packed with multi-million euro costing pleasure boats. The medieval city packed with boutique shops is still a cheap stop in comparison, and catching the tiny, well-maintained streets and citadel fortress off-season makes it a lot more breath-taking. The latter can be toured without a guide for 2 euro which includes a complementary postcard.
