we spent the morning walking around tralee then caught the bus to dingle town. because it was winter most of the tours weren't running but we found a company that would give us a private tour, so rach and i set off in a mini van for a 2 hour tour of the dingle peninsular. we drove around the very beautiful coast (we were very lucky with the weather) stopping along the way for some photo stops and at dunquin pier, the most easterly point of ireland. it ended back in dingle town where we had lunch in the pub before catching the bus back to tralee to pick up our bags then on to galway

I visited this area years ago and stood on a cliff looking out to sea towards the Blasket Islands and felt a strange almost spiritual feeling which can't be explained. On arrival back home, I found out that my ancestors actually came from the Dingle! Until that moment, I didn't even know that I had any Irish ancestors. I live in Australia.
