so its been an insanely long period since my last blog post and all i can say is that i have been crazy busy over here with the diving.  too busy to write a blog post? you may ask.  well, when i only have internet access for a few hours a week, the last thing that i want to do is sit for an hour or so to write this thing out. i would rather play with my dog or indian leg wrestle with my girlfriend.  but i know you have missed me. i know that the withdrawls were bad but dont fret because papa is back.

so the diving.....the season has been busy as usual which is a good thing considering it means job security. i have been the "trip leader" for one of the boats which is a fancy way of saying that i am the problem solver and complaint receiver.  the perk of this job is that i am the guy who decides what dive sites we dive so thats a good thing. plus a bit more money in the pay check never hurt anyone.

the diving itself has been pretty good this year with all kinds of cool stuff to check out.  we have had a few resident frog fish living at a dive site for the season so thats cool. also have seen my first sea moth which is truly a freaky looking fish. i will have to post photos for you to fully appreciate it.  good diving and no deaths so i cant complain.

i do love the mix of people that i get to meet on the boat. i know this sounds kinda lame but we get such a diverse group of people every 4 days from around the world.  its usually pretty interesting sitting and talking to people just about their everyday lives back home. yes you do get those people whom you wish had never left their country let alone gotten on your boat but they are in the minority.

the downside to the job i would have to say is the complete lack of free time.  there is no time to relax and do something because i only have about 24 hours on land a week.  it really puts a strain on the relationship with IM but we are surviving. not sure if the dog is so forgiving though. poor little fur ball.  at the moment i am on a visa run to laos so i have 4 days off which sounds awesome but then you have to remember that i have 48 hours on bus's and then standing around in line at the thai embassy........ugh

while in bangkok IM and I took care of some of the wedding stuff. picked out our rings which is nice.  did the invites which proved much more involved and time consuming then i ever imagined.  got fitted for my first suit ever. yes i am almost 37 years old and have never had a suit. i am proud of this and am a little sad that i had an indian man measuring my crotch the other day but alas this is adulthood.....where things are measured?

IM tried on a few dresses and although nothing is decided on that front yet, she did look amazing. yes i know this statement is along the lines of "my baby is the most beautiful baby in the world" but please take my word for it.....the girl looked GOOD.  we should make quite the couple on the big day lol.

as far as mimi.....we got her shaved so she isnt as hot anymore. poor little thing looked like she was dying from heat stroke. also with all that fur she was a little tick factory so this should help along those lines.. ok well now that i finally got back on the blogosphere i hope to keep more up to date.  keep an eye out for wedding news and of course photos. until then.......

I do remember you were in our wedding wearing a suit, however you didn't have to buy it...looked good in it too. :)
