ello ello reader, hope you are well and that the summer has treated you wonderfully (those of you in australia can just piss off with your so called "winter") and that you have enjoyed the season to get outside and enjoy yourselves.  my summer has dwindled down to.................18 days. yes i have broken down and verbalized to the world how many days i have left because at this point i just dont care if i annoy people (coworkers) LOL.  But it is true that my summer is at an end and the sooner the better!  My mind and body have broken down at an alarming rate over the last month and i probably only have about 70% use of my right hand due to arthritis/carpal tunnel or a pinched nerve or something....either way i really cant make a fist half the time so thats pretty unpleasant.

so funny little story for everyone and this should convey just how broke down and nasty i feel AND look.  i was shuffling my way down the hill i live on to get to the place where i meet my ride at 7am.  now you have to picture that im wearing my baggy dirty chef pants, a stained and fish slime covered maroon hoodie and a dirty ass northface day pack.  on top of that i had grown out quite the mountain man beard because i was tired of shaving and i really hadnt woken up fully yet so i was shuffling and not really walking down this hill.  so now that you have a mental picture.....a car drives past me and then slows down, stops and turns around back in my direction.  the car pulls up even with me and the window rolls down and sitting in the driver seat is a lady probably of about 50 years old, dressed pretty nice, probably for work and she leans over and says "here buy yourself some breakfast on me" and is handing me a $20 bill.  I take the $20 and say thanks and she drives off.  I was half asleep so i really didnt realized what the hell just happened for another 20-30 seconds then i realized that she thought i was homeless LOL LOL LOL. i've been laughing about this for 2 days now.  Its strange for this to happen in homer because there are so many people who are coming off the fishing boats or off the slope (oil fields) or out of the back country who look just as dishevled as i do and yet she thought i was homeless.  oh well, its an extra 20 in my pocket.

There have been some developments on the ninny front as of late (my girlfriend for those of you who are not familiar with the cast of characters in my little soap opera).  she has been offered an au pair job in london for a year.  This job pays really well and would really help her family out so I really cant say "dont do it" but on the other hand she will be gone for a year and this would effectively end our relationship.  Im not going to be the guy who says she has to stay for me so i just have to wait and see what she decides.  I think she is leaning towards not doing it because her mother is not really in support of her being so far from home for so long and her daughter obviously would be staying in thailand so its not as if its the perfect job.  i'll keep you all posted

other then that, nothing too exciting going on over here.  it is getting dark earlier and earlier nowadays.  By the time I get off of work at 11 it is already dark now which is a bit strange when you are used to it being light until 3am.  Its just another sure sign that its time for me to pack up my crap and get on that big bird to asia.....mmmm air china here i come!!!!!!!!!!
