A few words about grammar and style before I go on to part two of my wonderful journey through china. For the most part, when I sit down at whatever internet cafe is convenient to write out something on my blog, I don't put much thought into form and substance. I know a few basic details or funny stories that I want to pass on and I flex what little mental muscle I have and type away. Some people have said I have some sort of great writing style, or that its some kind of talent and although that would be nice and I appreciate the thought, I don't believe it for a second. The only point where I have stopped and thought and carefully looked for the right turn of phrase or wording was when it came to swearing. As most of you who have met me in person know, I swear in what can only be described as a deluge...A pure waterfall of profanity if you will. Its horrible going to weddings and thanksgiving because honestly, I don't know what's going to come out of my mouth. I usually spend these festive occasions holed away somewhere afraid of my self taught tourets syndrome.

even I know that the use of profanity gives the appearance of someone being uneducated or at least unable to communicate properly. If you extrapolate that to the amount that I swear, its amazing that I'm able to tie my shoes ( I wear sandal's now). When I first sat down to write this wonderful journal, the intention was to give an opportunity for people to follow my travels and see what kind of mess I find myself in. It was my hope that although I didn't know many young people, it would at least be accessible to anyone who wanted to read it no matter of age. I mean I even edited out the drugs and the girls for gods sake so give a guy SOME credit. The problem arose because although I strive to make this site as friendly and readable as possible, I was also editing myself to a point of pulling out what little hair I have left. It was while writing my post from India called "just give me a fucking ticket" that I just gave up. I sat there for about 20 minutes thinking of another way of saying that phrase but to be truthful, not only was it the perfect expression but its also what I said to the startled ticket window attendant. It was at that point that I made the decision to use profanity in a sparing manner if the occasion called for it. Even now, despite the sewer that is my mouth, you will only find a few swear words strewn about my postings. Please understand, I'm not striving for some literary masterpiece, at best I'm trying to write in a manner that is clear and at least somewhat entertaining.....In short, cut a brother some slack. And to cover one more literary complaint from the masses.....Yeah I should capitalize more and use better punctuation but I'm lazy. Ill try though. Ill finish up on china tomorrow...This took longer then I thought it would.
