im writing this at a bar called the funky buddha...somewhere the enlightened one is rolling over in his grave (well his body parts have been spread around the world so there is not really a grave to spin in but im sure his pinky is doing a flip flop or something). im going rafting tomorrow on class V rapids so in case i never told you all, i love you so much LOL. it should be ok but the release i signed pretty much stated that everything is up to god and i may be screwed. ill post the exact wording later on when i have it handy since i saved a copy because i laughed so hard.

there is this group of about 5-6 street girls that are always down by the restaurants trying to sell cheap purses. the younger ones discovered they can swing from my arms and ever since then its been a real adventure trying to get past them. the other night i was listening to my ipod and they asked if they could listen..then one of them requested bob marley...and not just any marley song but specifically buffalo soldier...and shes about 13 and living in nepal...crazy indeed.

the way we are always taught in the u.s. is that every one from a 3rd world country wants to come to america and hate their own country. ive discovered that this is quite the myth and people are very happy and proud of their own country....except nepal. every one and their brother is trying to get to america. there is something called the dv lottery which is something the state department does once a year.."direct visa lottery" i guess its hard to just get a visa for the u.s. but once a year they have a lottery that you can sign up for on the net.....and the cafe's are filled with families filling out the form... i mean filled. crazy crazy
