everyone always asked me about the weather in thailand while i was back in america and my answer was always "its either hot or its hot and raining". apparantly i was mistaken because during the rainy season there is a third category and its called "holy christ is it hot". Yes believe it or not the weather is amazingly sticky and hot and wont get any better for about a month. at least it rains for an hour a day.

ive fallen back into the swing of things and have gotten out of bangkok and am in pattaya for a few days to chill out and relax...im heading to phuket to visit a friend and she's taking me to an island called ko lak for their famous vegetarian festival. for a person who is an avid eater of animals i am not that thrilled about the prospects.

the long term plans are now as follows. Go to phuket for a few days and then head to chiang mai for a week to check out the markets up their for my fledgling little business enterprise and then im flying to calcutta which is in india. from their im going to take the train to nepal. ill be able to bounce back into india whenever i want because its a multiple entery visa good for 6 months but costs alomst a $100. but its only that expensive for american passports. everyone else pays less then half that. pretty lame if you ask me and i can only hope we are reaming the bastards in a likewise fashion when they want to come over to the U.S. to study.

speaking of indians i took a funny cab ride to the weekend market in bangkok. the cabbie, through very broken english says "usa #1, england #2, canada #3, sweden #4....india #10....they smell very bad, not good for cab" at which point i about busted a gut laughing. end communication
