We thought it was about time to say hello again. We hadn't realised it was so long since we last put an entry on. Time flies when you're having fun!!! Well as you can tell we are still living the life here in Bondi. the good news is the strange American girls we were sharing the flat with have left - yipppeeeeee!! What a relief, no goodbye parties or anything although we had a few drinks to celebrate!! They took most of the place with them which was quite funny, including grotty, oily ovenclothes and stained rugs mmmmmm! Not sure what they're going to do with them as they went to live in a hostel, perhaps they are what Americans call souvenirs!! We had the place to ourselves for just over a week which was very luxurious, laying around watching normal TV and generally enjoying the freedom and privacy. Then a couple of English guys moved in two days ago, Steven and James from Shrewsbury. They seem very nice which is a HUGE relief. We're both really happy as we all club in to buy beer together and actually have similar things to talk about - yes we actually talk!!!
We are both working now which is good, Neale got a job in a call centre selling life insurance to people which he absolutely loves!! The hours are a bit dodgy and he doesn't get home til quite late every night and wastes the day waiting to go to work in the first place, still it's not for long and the money isn't too bad. Lou is still working one night a week at the bowling club and got a job with a hospitality agency. She had a really good night the other day working at the aussie stadium at the members bar during a huge super 12 game. The Waratahs, who are like Manchester United of the rugby world here played and then some of the team came into the bar afterwards to give away the match ball. Neale was extremely jealous as she got to see some of the game as well. Only one teaching job has come up so far, supervising Hebrew at a Jewish school for the day, an interesting experience, she got to watch Harry Potter in Hebrew?!!! She aslo has a job at the Kylie concert next week woooo!
The weather has started to get a bit colder and it's a bit grey at the moment so we haven't been to the beach for ages. Neale thinks the sea will be lovely at the moment but we haven't as yet made it in! We've got a month and a half left before we head off in search of good weather - hopefully. it's got very upsetting as the tan which took 3 months to get to a lovely shade has now washed off. There better be some good weather to be found soon! We feel like we know Sydney like the back of our hands now and still really enjoy it here. We're still looking forward to some further exploration of the surrounding areas though!
We managed to get some good pictures the other day which we'll attach. Neale is wavering between growing his beard again or not, it depends if he can stand the telesales or if he has to look presentable at another interview, the beard will return though!
Well, that's about it, we'll catch up again soon.
