This morning we left the KOA in Strasburg, CO heading east. It doesn't take long for the mountains to leave our view and the flat lands open in front of us. We enter Kansas and enjoy the visitors center which has lots of information on Dwight D. Eisenhower. The highway system is named after him too.

In the distance we see, out of no where, bunches of wind machines on either side of the road. If our energy policy is to have these provide new green power, something is missing as none of the hundreds of machines are running today. NONE. Mayber its too windy today??

The temperature is climbing and is at 100 degrees. Eldy and Jeannie have sent us an unwelcome present. Hope there weather is cooling off in Texas. Following my friend Eldy, we turn on the generator and AC and enjoy our ride in cool comfort.

Speaking of wind, it's blowing 20 -25 MPH and gusting from the south which makes our coach rock and roll down the highway. It is very tiring and I was happy to get to Salina, KS for our stay at the KOA. This was one of the best KOA parks yet. Friendly, lots of stuff in the store, trees around the coaches and just a neat and clean place.

Our next door neighbors are on there way to Alaska and we take out the map and compare notes and he asks tons of questions about locations and stop we have made. Fun to review all we have done.

My treat for tonight is a fine ice cream from the store and a "new" item for our entry shelf. Stop by at 225 and see it later in the week.
