As we leave Peggy's Cove and our Hackett Cove B&B the "Flying Dutchman", we awake to a clear morning as the fog burns off. Henk and Doreen feed us well and sent us on our way with directions to Mahone Bay for some neat shops and a great picture stop of the much photographed "Three Churches". Along the way we stopped at several small coves and bays with glass like water that were beautiful. Gail was quick to notice a large spider web next to our car and in the sunlight looked like lace. Mahone Bay was a great village with a protected harbour and several shops that  invited us in to check out the local products. The Amos Pewter Shop that we had visited in Halifax gave the girls a chance to finalize a purchase of fine pewter wear. They make it right in the shop and we were able to watch the manufacturing process. We ate lunch in a small cafe on the harbour before continuing on.

We continued on to Lunenburg with a spectacular harbour and current home to a famous ship called "the Bluenose." A three master with blue hull. The shops were brightly colored and stood out along all the streets. This village has numerous restaurants and we were sorry we didn't try to get here for lunch.
