We finished our final packing and rolled our luggage back up to the front office. There are many that have finally arrived from the 18 day group and we had fun sharing our adventures. Several windshields and "service engine soon" lights were a part of their adventure as well. A great time was had by all and many favorable comments about GAH. One couple hit a snow storm as they entered Canada, just outside Glacier. We traveled that route the next day and no snow at all. Just plain luck, good fortune, or God's grace. I think we know the answer.

About 9:00 we headed on their shuttle back to the airport. As we get to baggage check in and weighted my bag, it has grown 3 pounds since we left. As the weight limit is 50 pounds, they will allow up to 52. Mine weighted in at 54. The airline gal, just happens to be from Manistee and had just move to Alaska, said just to move a pair of jeans to the other bag, that will do it. Now we know that a pair of jeans weights just about 2 pounds.

Notice the great colors on the plane. Not problem plane ride and met a grand fellow who sat in our row. He was heading to the VA hospital in Seattle for potential back surgery. We served in Vietnam at about the same time. He lives in Knik just south of Wasilla right on the Iditarod trail. Knew all about Victory Bible Camp and works in the prison ministry. We wished him well as we deplaned and headed to the courtesy area for a ride to our hotel the Hawthorn Suites. The room was a one bedroom suite at a great rate and included a happy hour dinner.
