We left our private campground and headed back through Keystone and a tunnel to Rapid City for two stops. One to get our Capacinno mix at ShopKo and a Walmart food run. Also a Starbucks stop for coffee. Then headed west on 90, driving into Sturgis, where later in the summer the motorcycles will invade this town. Then took a side trip north of Sundance making our way toward Devils Tower north of Sundance, WY.

Winds were tough and we couldn't go very fast. We now are starting our climb as we head for Sheridan, WY to see Shana and her boys. More tomorrow, not much time tonight.

Your encounters with narrow roads and high winds remind of a saying old Wild West cowboys in Montana used to say when I was growing up...(I just through that last part in - I'm old, but not that old!)
"Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway."
You're doing great! You DO need a couple of cowboy hats though!!
Glad you found your coffee - because you know what they say...the "they" in the wild west, of course...
"Cowboy Coffee aint' safe drinkin'."

Yep! You need cowboy hats. But there are a few rules about cowboy hats:
"If you'r sittin' at the counter eatin' leave your hat on, but if your' sittin' at the table take it off. "

Ahhh - Sheridan, Wyoming - I spent a month there one week! KInda like Toledo in the late 60's. And Sundace - that's where I got my "single" point buck!
Fond memories - Drive safely and have a wonderful time.
