Where I stayed
Chill out dude!
Byron Bay is absolutely gorgeous! The best place I have visited by far and the best beach - it is AMAZING! The first day I arrived it was pouring down with rain (seems to be the norm recently!) but the second day was clear blue skies, gorgeous sunshine and just right! : ) and it has been very sunny since.
So I stayed here for 5 days in total. Lots of beach lounging and soaking the sun, great for my tan! ;)Lots of drinking and fun times at Cheeky Monkeys which included lots of drinking, dancing and body paint! ; ) Stayed in Nomads hostel, which was quite cool. Lots of cool people in our dorm, including 3 Mexican guys who were very funny and quite young! We ended up drinking in a lot and then going out later to dance it all off. Met a cool Dutch girl who had so many tattoo's and a those big earrings in the lobe of her ear, which she had to stretch herself apparently - looks cool but totally not my thing.
So what else did I do here? Oh yeah, ended up snogging one of the Mexicans - an uneventful experience.... no more to be said there! The body paint night out was funny, basically the best placed body paint of your country flag could win a sky dive, so I got my chest painted (as well as a smiley face and a dick on my face! - what can I say, was pretty pissed when I asked her to paint that! Didn't win a prize (which was a sky dive) it went to a Danish girl who painted her buttocks and shaked her ass to the music... there was no way I was going to do that! But I got up on the stage and showed my strategically placed tattoo off to all and got quite a lot of cheers, mainly from fellow Brits and friends - but it was a laugh.
We went to Nimbin for a day, a pretty cool place, very small and cosy and hippy ish. The museum was good, and so were the cookies! : )
It has a very chilled out vibe this place, which I really liked. Bigger than I thought it would be, and lots to do. Wanted to stay much longer, but didn't have enough time.
Some really good times here (as you can see from the photo's), and the best beach and place I have been to on the east coast - by far! I have decided that I will come back....x
