Today we travelled to Amsterdam on the train from Hiedelburg on the train. Was a pretty quick train trip for the distancce we travelled, but still took most of the day. Got to see lots of the German country side as we travelled through the country.

When we arrived in Amsterdam, we then took a street train out to near our hostel we're staying @. They only do a shuttle once an hour from the hostel, so we waited @ the train station for like 40mins, cause we must have just missed it. Luckily they had a fish and chip shop @ the station as we havn't had a real meal since breakfast. So we had Fish nuggets and chips in a cone, with mayo (it was awesome!). While we were waiting we met these 2American guys, who told us, that it was Queen's day on the 30April, so unbeknownst to us, we are in Amsterdam on their national day. It's almost enough to make you like the Monarchy.
When we arrived @ the hostel, I just had to absorb that awesomeness. This hostel is everything you expect from a hostel. Funky signs and outdoor lights (kinda like Chriustmas lights), a smoking lounge (we are in Amsterdam), Hammocks, an outdoor BBQ/cooking area, free wireless (which wasn't working... but worse things happen @ sea), 2 desktop computers for those without wireless (sadly one of the two desktops wasn't working. Instead of rooms, they had cabins & caravans with the wheels taken off (we had one of those) which were painted with murials. Good times, good times!
