My Apartment

First I would like to thank all of you for understanding my hiatus, (time off) but I have been and continue to be on the road.

I have been in Ecuador for the past month, renting an apartment in Pasaje, Ecuador using it as my home base.  Things that will keep me from using Pasaje as a home base.  THEY ARE HOMOPHOBIC,  meaning they are prejudice towards other people, dark skin, Indian's  and those who are not Christian.

I can only tolerate so much ignorance in my life, I would like to blame only straight people but even the gays here are very prejudice about how dark someone is.  They all want to be white.

So if you are gay I would suggest if you do drive through Pasaje eat at Pingurea across the street from the church, best Calldo De Bollo around, for only $1.50 USD.

Then get the hell out of town, really nothing to do in town, but once outside of town there is so much to explore, water falls, ruins, great swimming rivers, and good food.

Most people are friendly but don't say you not Christian or your gay or be overly affectionate towards your companion, I was told "oh you can have three women or more in your apartment every night but you should never a  guy spend the night."

Is this a double standard?

Keep moving on and enjoy1day.
