Great ... more temples
Another 1000 year-old complex of temples. Big deal. I think that Angkor Wat ruined any other temples that I'll ever see. I don't think those can be topped.
This is the largest Cham complex in the world, but when I got there, I have to say that I was a little surprised. At how small it was. Then again, some of that could have been attributed to the fact that the Viet Cong would hide in these temples, and so we bombed a bunch of them into oblivion. So there is much less to see than there would have been some 40 years ago.
On second thought...
After I took the time to see the temples, going from one to the next, I really did start to like them. They were all very interesting in their own right, and I spent more time here than I initially thought that I would. I guess you can't really visit temples this old and not be at least a little interested in them.
But there isn't much else to say here. This was a day trip from Hoi An, and then I went back to Hoi An to catch the bus north to Hue. So have a look at the photos, and look for my next entry, from Hue.
