The next village is just a short distance away and, after doing a loop around I don't feel like retracing my steps, so I head off into in the wrong direction, into the oasis farm plots, figuring I’ll figure a path out of here eventually. But no, after a while of zigzagging around, I finally paint myself into a corner, with a cliff on one side and the river on the other. Determined not to backtrack, I clamber up on a narrow canal right on the side of the cliff, and do a balancing act until I finally find a way up the steep hill.
Maybe I’ll stick to the road for a while
