Sebbah caught my eye while scanning Google Maps—just a couple of blocks in the middle of nowhere a few kilometres from Skhirat. I figure it’s be a nice bit size discovery to top off my Adventure Day—as calling it quits at 3:30 just seems to early… So I soon find myself heading down a country road through the fields looking for Sebbah. On the way, I also pause for an hour or so in the shade of some trees to go over some more of my songs. Lately I’ve been trying to expand my repertoire, and it seems the only time I’m really inspired to work on my songs is when I’m out on the road in Adventure Mode… these songs just aren’t meant to be sung in a bedroom staring at blank walls
Then up over gentle ridge I see Sebbah off in the distance, a cluster of houses, trees—and of course, the ever present mosque… I figure I’ll go ahead and do my official "Sebbah videoclip" as it’s unlikely I’ll find a suitable place to do it in town. The town definitely has it’s own “sou” with all the typical shops and even a cybercafé or two… schools… pretty much your strandard, recently built two storey lower middle class houses. I can’t quite decide though if this is a “country town” or a “distant suburb of Rabat”…
Not a spectacular discovery, but it does feel good to know that I pushed myself “beyond the call of duty” (?) to make this a full day of exploration… So I catch the local bus back to Skhirat… back on the train… and on back home…
