Our first foray on the Eurostar - what a way to travel! None of this waiting around for two hours, then finding some way into the city where we actually want to go for us - oh, no.

The Eurostar was great, it got us into the centre of Lille, where we were staying, to watch the un-fancied English team play the even-less-fancied Team America. From a rugy purist's perspective, the game wasn't that great, and I stood in line for 30 mins at half time (and missed most of the second half) to get a beer. I then found out that according to French law, the beer was 'Amstel Free', that is, sans alcohol. Grrr.
