Our nice crew that we had from Luxembourg to Baku left the plane and we were left alone on board together with the spare captain who was also a passenger to Singapore. As she is technically a part of the crew, she was lucky enough to get the beds.... we had to sleep on the seats... Not a problem if it were not for the 5 hours we had to spend on ground and the sudden tropic heat that came up as the sun rose outside. As we hit the 50 degree (celsius) mark the lady captain came out of her room and complained about her colleagues that they did not fire up the airconditioning.... what she did in the end and then we got nice 21 degrees. The new crew came on board and we took off from Baku in direction of Singapore.... but somebody had played on the airconditioning and we ended up with freezing 10 degrees, I put on my pullover and fleece jacket, Nathalie took her scarf. In the end we managed to get it heated up again to a normal temperature. The rest of the flight was normal. Just funny to be ones own steward(ess).
