Flag of Thailand  , Krabi,
Thursday, June 3, 2010

Late last night, we thought that it might be a good idea to organise transport to the airport. When we looked at our itinerary we figured out that we would have to leave the guest house at 4:30am!! No comment on who organised the flight (cough cough wife), but luckily it wasn't like we could not catch up on sleep over the next few months anyway :)

We took 2 flights, with the first going to Singapore and the second to Krabi. The first flight went nice and smoothly, but the second had a 2 hour delay. Again that didn't bother us too much because we didn't have anywhere we had to be anyway! We just cruised around the airport, used the free Internet and enjoyed the air conditioning.

We arrived in Thailand in the early afternoon and after a misunderstanding with our transport (they forgot) we were off to Krabi Noi, a very small village about 20 minutes out of Krabi itself. The place we stayed at was nestled in the mountains and had spectacular views that will speak for themselves, just have a look at the pictures!

The staff at the resort were really friendly and their cooking was amazing! I think it will be a long time before we are going to be able to find nicer Thai food than we had here. In addition to this, the place was extremely reasonable in price as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in the area and wants to get out of town for a few days to recharge and be away from the tourist areas.

The rest of our day was quite relaxing, with a wander around the grounds, a swim and an amazing dinner! We also managed to get a chat in with my Mum, who was celebrating her birthday today. Happy Birthday Ma!
