Just wanted to let everyone know that we did arrive safely in Scotland yesterday. Everything about our trip has gone very smoothly so far!
We did not have lodging booked ahead, so we went to the tourist information office as soon we arrived. All of the central hotels were booked and/or too expensive, so we decided on the Central Edinburgh Youth Hostel (which has no age requirement).
This is a very nice and large hostel. We are each in a separate four person room segregated by sex. They have cabinets in which to lock our luggage, and our first night was very comfortable.
We are scheduled for a full day tour up to Loch Ness tomorrow, and then we plan to head over to Northern Ireland the next day.
We will be posting more details soon, but time and internet access have been short.

Hey! I've been preoccupied with Collin's wedding, NDK and stuff, but I'm finally caught up with your blog, just in time for you to write about places outside the US. :P
DragonCon and NYC sounded really cool too. I'll probably go back and post some silly snarky comments, but now sleep. (also codewords: "Pillow-Body-Nia" I think you can figure that out XD)
