This is where the Virgin Mary allegedly was taken by John after the crucifixion of Jesus. It was quite small but set in a gorgeous landscape.
When we entered there was a monk praying his beads in the back corner with a couple other women doing the same. As you walked out the back, there was a small frame mounted on the wall that covered an image of the virgin. It was hard to see, but it was there; the classic image of her with her head tilted. It weren't no piece of toast! Mmmm..toast... No photography allowed inside, unfortunately.
After thoughtfully weighing eternal salvation vs. intestinal parasites, several folks in our group took the opportunity to drink from the fountains of forgiveness.
