So, after returning from the mountains, after a quick pie, we got on the Greyhound which took us to Brisbane. John and Ann were picking us up from the bus station and we were a bit early. We started putting our bags together and then I had a quick look around and without either of us realising we were about 2 metres away from each other. We hopped in the car and headed northwards. After a lovely home cooked meal and some wine we hit the sack fairly early.
Friday:
We went on a whistle stop tour of Caloundra which included some gorgeous coastline, massive waves, an incredible apartment and some awesome fish and chips (the calamari was the highlight). That evening we went for an Italian, unfortunately though Natalie discovered she wasn't a fan of the chef's special Gnocchi.
Saturday:
We went up into the mountains for some incredible views of the Glasshouse mountains and the coastline. We then had a wander around a protected rainforest where we kept hearing Whipbirds once again and also saw some massive oaks! We then went into Montville for some delicious grub (the biggest portion of wedges I have ever seen it almost stumped me!) and some boutique browsing. Last thing on the agenda was a trek down to Kandilla falls which turned out to be quite a mission with at least 500 steps but definitely worthwhile.
Sunday:
"The rest day" which turned out to be very tiring once again. A whistle stop tour of the Sunshine coast with stops including; the Giant Pineapple, the Ginger Factory (with incredible ginger ice cream), a picnic at Noosaville with ducks and sting-rays, shopping at Noosa (window shopping at estate agents where the lowest cost was around a million dollars) and a walk along the promenade. Naturally Natalie made a purchase whilst we were at Noosa and Ann made a purchase at the Giant Pineapple which was a cuddily Koala who has become our new companion on our travels. The day ended with a lovely Sunday roast! YUMMY!!!!
Monday:
AUSTRALIA ZOO (Steve Irwin's territory)!!! AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! We'll let the photos talk for themselves on this one.
Tuesday:
Unfortunately it will be time to leave Uncle John and Aunty Ann. Our bellies will be full (had a fry up every morning ;) ) and our batteries fully recharged! We will be heading onto Fraser Island (the largest sand island in Oz) for our 4x4 experience.
Loads of Love

PS forgotten to mention that on Natalie's Greyhound ticket her name is down as Nata due to a typo on my part. Although it is quite fitting!
