From Anaheim we drove back towards the coast towards Los Angeles passing through Manhattan beach & Santa Monica. Stopped in at the always bustling Venice beach & the Canals.

In search of our hostel we noticed the red carpet was out at the front of The famous Chinese Theater and a crowd was building. So managed to spot a few celebrities at the premier of "The Pacific", Spotted Tom Hanks & Steven Spielberg!

Then we arrived at our Hostel which is right on Hollywood Blvd, you can see the Hollywood sign from our backyard. We arrived just in time for the free beer and Karaoke!!

The next day we took a short Hike up the Hollywood hills to the letters, or as close as your allowed to go them! Also visited Bronson Caves, or the "bat cave"from the TV show and few other movies.

We then bought a stars map and spent the afternoon stalking famous people and their driveways in Bel Air and Beverley Hills. Also visited Rodeo drive the wealthiest and most famous shopping district in the world.

Then we visited Universal studios, saw the shows, attractions and rides and took a tour of the studios. Then caught a Lakers game at the Staples Centre and watched Kobe Bryant dominate.

The next day we walked along Hollywood Blvd, visited the Kodak Theater (where they hold the Oscars). We`just miss out on the Oscars they were setting up for them, so cool! Strolled along the walk of fame, past the Chinese theater (where they hold all the big movie premiers). Then we drove back towards Santa Monica, via the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Blvd.

The next day we visited the Hollywood bowl, world famous music venue. It's outdoors natural amphitheater, the backdrop is the Hollywood hills and the Hollywood sign. We then visited the Tar pits, lakes of tar home to heaps of ancient fossils, including the Saber tooth tiger! Then we visited the El Pueblo area and the Olvera street markets (Mexican markets) and ate some nachos! Finished the day with a drive along Mulaholland drive. A scary road which rides the crest of the Hollywood hills with an overlook of downtown LA and all of it's sprawl.

That night we went to the world famous Laugh Factory. First time I'd been to a Comedy club, had so much fun!

The next day we caught a movie at the actual Chinese Theater. When there's not a premier or private screening, the theater is open to the public, screening regular movies at normal movie prices! It's massive, holds 1 000 people. Who knows which famous people's bums had sat on the same spot as mine did :) While on Hollywood Blvd we noticed a crowd and heaps of media. Managed to see Andrea Bocelli be awarded his star on the walk of fame.

That night we went to a live screening of the sit com The Big Bang Theory, wicked experience, will never watch TV the  same again!

Then we headed towards Morro Bay our next stop via, Paradise Cove, Santa Barbara and the very beautiful Malibu (Home to lots more famous people). Drove past a few including Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Devito and Peirce Bronson.

Until next time,

Missing you all

Much love,
Natalie xx
