Where I stayed
Hey all,
From Phoenix we drove North up Arizona towards Sedona. We took the Apache trail a winding scenic road passing through the Goldfield Ghost town, deserts, mountains, cliffs, lake shores, canyons and HEAPS of HUGE cactus's. The scenery then quickly changed from cactus's and red dirt to huge pine trees and snow. Then again to Big red amazing colorful rocks as we entered Sedona. We took a 2.5 hour Jeep tour through the rugged hills with a Native American Indian. We then had dinner at "The Cowboy Club" were I sampled some of the local delicacies included snake, Buffalo, cactus fries and prickly pear dipping sauce.
The next morning we visited the Montezuma Castle, ancient Cliff dwellings and made our way to the grand canyon where we walked the very scenic south rim of the canyon. So overwhelmed by the canyon it was awesome!!
The next night we stayed in Page, keen for our next stop in Monument Valley.
Hope everyone is great! much love xxx
