Where I stayed
HOWDY YÁLL!
spent two nights in Dallas, two nights in Austin and two nights in San Antonio. Hung in downtown Dallas exploring the city, it's parks and attractions. We visited the sight where JFK was shot on the street during a rally and the sixth floor museum. A museum at the sixth floor of the building where he was shot from. That night we went up to Forth Worth a smaller city just out of Dallas, we visited the stockshow and watched the rodeo.
The rodeo was great fun, bucking wild horses, bulls, catch a baby cow contests, whipping show, fireworks, horse and cart racing and much more. very entertaining! :) After the Rodeo we went to the stockyards, Country town set up street with loads of bars and old country hotels etc. We went to Billy Bobs. It's got pokies, bucking bull, live country music, line dancing, two stepping, pool tables, bars, a gift shop etc etc alot of fun!
The next day we caught the bus to Austin. We stayed right on the lakefront with a view of the city light. We explored downtown and the capitol building and went out that night. Austin is the live music capitol of the world! Live music every night of the week the main street 6th is packed with bars all competing with each other so we roamed for the best bargain ($1 beers & Hurricanes).
We then got a bus from Austin to San Antonio. We then walked the river walk. A beautiful man made river packed with trees, hotels, bars, restaurants (mostly Mexican) and clubs. We also visited The Alamo, the famous site of the Battle of the Alamo, explored downtown and the very popular Howling Wolf, a bar with dueling, competing Pianos. Next stop Phoenix!!
Hope everyone is great :)
