Arrived in new york about 9pm after about 45 hours of transit, a four hour flight and two 14 hour flights! Made it to our hostel dumped our stuff and went across the road for our first and most awesome slice of NY pizza. The next day we explored soho, noho, the east village, Brooklyn and Brooklyn bridge.

Over the next few days we also visited green which village, Chelsea, Chelsea markets, the Hudson river, lower west side, the financial district.

At the financial district we visited the twin towers site which was closed for the making of a memorial site, trinity church, wall street, city hall and city hall park, NY stock exchange, the site were George Washington was inaugurated, federation hall, Tiffany's, the Trump Building and then finally a dusk cruise of the Staten island via the statue of liberty.

We then went home to prepare ourselves for a big night of partying for NYE at Webster Hall. Webster hall holds about 4 000 people, it was sold out. Our ticket gave us crazy entertainment all night and 6 hours of free drinks, ordering whatever we wanted.

New Years Day consisted of a recovery from he big night, lunch in little Italy, a visit to the New York public library, Madam Tussuad's wax museum, Grand central station and Times Square. Later on Rob and I took a late night stroll across Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn for some photos and back over the Brooklyn Bridge.

Check out the photos of the half of my stay in New York and stay tuned for more. x
