Another relaxing morning before walking into town. Today we hope to get together with a Seattle friend (Chris) who is also visiting the southwest.  She and her travel companions have been staying in Albuquerque and plan to take the train to Santa Fe today where we hope to meet for lunch. George and I decide to pass the morning in the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and it is time well spent.  Two short films about her life begin the visit, both very good but no cell phones allowed so after the films we did a quick walk through then headed outside to call Chris with plans of returning to see the exhibit after our lunch plans were made.  As we are about to walk out we ran into Chris and her friends, they had just arrived so that solved where and when we would meet.  After introductions we all turned our attention to the exhibit and took our time enjoying the art of Georgia O’Keefe.  Nancy found a wonderful book highlighting O'Keefe's works paired with photos of Ansel Adams.

A member of Chris’ group, Rachel, had gone to University in Albuquerque and now lives there so we relied on her to select a spot for lunch.  She had eaten at the Cowgirl Bar & Grille before and thought it would be fun so off we went.  It was an eclectic place filled with young people.  We were given a large table and began to peruse the menu, so many choices and they all sounded good and the food was very good, service a bit slow but we enjoyed the time catching up with Chris and getting acquainted with her friends all the while serenaded by a Bob Dylan want-to-be strumming his guitar and singing songs of protest on the patio.   It was a delightful afternoon.

It was late afternoon by the time we parted company and they had to catch a 6:30 train back to Albuquerque, George and I continued our wanderings through some of the back streets of Santa Fe.
