Hello from Costa Rica! On Saturday morning, after a boat, a couple buses, and a taxi, we were in San Jose, Costa Rica, at Galileo´s Hostel. Randomly enough, Yao had booked the same exact hostel for that night (without us having discussed it), and we were able to meet up there! It was a nice and very "cool kids" hostel, with clever sayings written on chalk boards and a free shot when you arrive. They had free internet, free calls to the States, and bean bags. The best part was that there were two adorable bunnies that you could play with, as well as a funny turtle to observe! We tried to go to bed early due to our 5 am wake up call the next morning. We had heard that some of the roads were out in Costa Rica, due to the mass amounts of rain they had been receiving. We decided to try and chance it anyways, and we ended up taking a bus to Nicoya then a taxi to one of the rivers where the bridge was out. We had been told we would have to walk across to meet another taxi on the other side, but the water had subsided enough that we were able to be driven across. The water was about up to the tires - pretty high! We finally arrived in Nosara on Sunday afternoon and checked into our house rental.

Nosara is really hard to describe, but it's not exactly a "beach town." It's not really a town at all - I would call it more of a community. It's super tiny and beautiful, with dirt roads, random shops here and there, and no buildings on the beach. It's a whole lot of jungle and ocean. It doesn't really feel like we are out of the US though -they are sooo many yuppyish granolaish Americans living here, and pretty much the official language is English. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, and our house is nice too, with an awesome pool.  We hitchhiked to the grocery store the other day to pick up lots of food to cook and have been watching "Breaking Bad" in the evenings on DVD. The boys took a surfing lesson this morning with a dreaded dude named Chaco (supposedly went really well!), and I went to go volunteer at the Nosara Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, whey they rehabilitate baby monkeys whose parents have been killed by power lines. I basically sat in a chair and let little monkeys crawl all over me and tug my hair! Volunteering? I should be paying them to do this! The boys really want to go and play with monkeys in the next few days, and I'll probably go let myself get tossed around in the waves with a surfboard just for a good laugh. This town is also a huge into yoga, and we're planning on taking a few classes too! Anyways, this blog entry will have to be very short, and I don't know how much more I will be blogging as our days are probs going to be filled with a whole lot of nothing (well, monkeys, surfing, yoga, eating and drinking).. and the internet here is insanely expensive! I'll try to come back and post pictures at some point though. All in all, we'll be here for two weeks until we fly back to the States to eat our moms´delish thankgsiving dinner!
