Where I stayed
Hi Everyone,
Sorry it takes me so long to get to the writing and putting pics up for the blog. Many challenges along the way from little connectivity to no internet at all. But here I am in Geneva and it seems to be working ok. I love this City. I took the train from Paris to Geneva in about 3.5 hours on a great train ride. First I met a man who apparently lives just down the street from me in White Rock and then a very interesting lady that works for the World Health Organisation. Very interesting because she is interested in looking at the world's issues relating to Diabetes. She is aware of teh Stanford self-management programs and the work that is doing for individuals.
I got into Geneva somewhat late because of a police incident at the Paris Train station, so my sightseeing was limited in what I wanted to see. But do check out the pictures. I have walked so much that I have lost weight and am getting into serious shape, who needs Zumba just walk across Europe. I have one week to go and I am amzed what walking can do for one's health. I am enjoying every minute this adventure provides, even paying to go to the bathroom is amusing.
As for shopping, well I have got a few things but I have been mainly focused on the museums and see the sights. Sunday in Geneva was very quiet due to nothing being open. Which for a serious shopper like myself, has been difficult...ok I looked at some shoes in a window but hey I guess its saving me money that way. Its getting late and I am very tired...if you want to see more pictures I have way over 500 so far but it takes approximately 1 hr to upload the pics you do see on here. So when I get back home I will show you all these pictures,,,ok cheers everyone,
Natalie
