The other morning, I woke up really early and couldn't get to sleep again. I couldn't work out why because I wasn't worried or anything. Anyway, after about an hour, I suddenly sat bolt upright and realised that I'd worked my visa out incorrectly! I jumped out of bed and checked it and realised to my horror that it was due to run out in around 2 week's time. Shiiiiiiiiit! I'd just booked my Dehli / Taj Mahal /
Goa trip at the end of my stay here - it was due to run out right in the middle of my trip. Basically - I had to leave India and come back in again. Having checked the school calendar, the only time I could go was during the holiday of Holi, as school would be closed anyway. I raced down to the internet café and frantically started looking at India's neighbouring countries: Nepal, Thailand, Sri Lanka - all were soooo expensive! Then I suddenly remembered
Dubai, which surprisingly came out tops - the cheapest and the closest (2 and a half hours flying time) so I booked it! How weird is that? I never reckoned I'd visit Dubai, but I am, in about a week's time! Quite excited actually (although at £214 is was a bit of an expensive mistake to have made!)
