. We also go to see a panda, most amazing animal for sure. the zoo is an amazing place, our ticket covered the gondola ride above the zoo from one end to the other, a tour on a double decker bus and then they had buses that picked you up and dropped you off anywhere in the zoo so getting around wasnt too much trouble. There was so much to see so having the buses was real good. we had to be back to catch our bus at 5pm sharp and brian and i were exactly on time (all be it the last ones back to the bus and they were waiting on us) then it was back to the hotel to change before we all went out to dinner. Now it is back to the hotel, write this up, post pics and pack cases as they have to be out by 7am and we leave for LA at 8am so another early night. By the way, the cold is on the mend (fingers crossed for sure).
You will see by some of the pics, that san diego is a navel base so there are some pics of the war ships and some statues which im sure most of you will recongnise. oh well toodle pip till the next blog.
Hi everyone from San Diego. We left Las Vegas on saturday and it was an early start as we had to be at the air port by 9.30am and the air port was 1 hours drive from mike and connies. so we was on the road early. I was feelin real bad with the cold, my eyes were running, i was coughing and was sneezing so tissues were in great demand. We left vegas for LA and then a connecting flight to san diego. the flights were all short ones but was glad to get to the hotel to lie down cos was not a well chookie. we had a get to know each other night and i managed 1 hour and then i had to come back and go to bed so it was a real early night for me. Sunday morning dawned foggy and cool ( it was rather cool after las vegas for sure) and after breakfast it was on the bus for a tour of san diego in the morning, a scatter lunch then off to the zoo for the afternoon; what an afternoon it was too, up until today i had never seen a live snake but now i have seen LOTS AND LOTS and all different colours and shapes too
