The morning started off as usual in Alexandra cold, frosty and foggy and I really wasn't motivated to do anything but the dreaded lists was still there and I had to get started.  Brian headed off to work early and so i thought i would go on face book for a while and then start on the lists. After a while the lists started bugging me so clean the microwave, put the stuff through the dishwasher and feed and water the birds was marked off, also the washing was done and then the biggy........ Jodi's stuff...... Jodi had some boxes stored at our house and wanted us to bring then up with us as she was moving flats and would need some of the stuff. When i had finished sorting "Jodi's stuff"our lounge resembled a movers yard and then i still had to put our cases etc there also. I wasnt quite sure what Brian would say when he got home from work as he had to try and pack it all into our little car.  Brian eventually arrived home with the carrier for the cat so i could take Hardly to the vet where he was going to spend his holiday. Our goal was to be away from Alexandra by 3pm but the best laid plans of mice and men.  We did get the car loaded, the fridge cleaned out, then the water turned off, and the cylinder emptying (hopefully it did empty through the hose into the toilet and not onto the floor) by 3.30pm so then we headed off. The car was loaded to the gunnels and Brian even had to have a bag on his knee as we were returning some catering equipment we took home by mistake from Waipata. Just before Omakau we hit the hoar frosts. Very beautiful and this continued right through the Ida Valley till we were almost at Ranfurley. We duly delivered our ill begotten gains and then headed on our way to Palmerston. By then it was dark and we both were feeling rather peckish as neither of us had breakfast or lunch so the Fish and Chip shop was looking real good. We sat and ate our chippies watching all the traffic go by and then decided time for us to move on to Oamaru and find a place to stay.  Brian had a 7am appointment for an audit so was an early start for him.  Hopefully he will be back at the Motel by 9am to get me and we can have some breakfast and head on our way to Timaru where he has another audit. We will be staying with Jodi Friday night at her old flat and then on Saturday help her move and empty my wee car of all its goodies and stay at her new place so Im not sure when i will get back to do another blog, it mite not be till we are actually in the states but one never knows.
